Also known as Valdeon, Picos Blue is a Spanish, unpasteurised, strong, blue cheese that uses a mixture of cow and goats milk.

One of our favourite blue cheeses, Picos is spicy, strong and tangy with dense blue veining and a crumbly texture.

Each cheese is wrapped in autumn chestnut leaves and left to mature in abandoned mines and caves in the Asturian mountains. The cows and goats graze pastures blown over by Biscay's salty winds and this comes through in this incredible cheese. Goes well with sweet sherry.
