Cornish Yarg is an English, vegetarian, pasteurised, cows cheese.

The basis for this cheese was a thirteenth century recipe crossing Caerphilly and Wensleydale.  It is now made at Lynher Dairy near Pengreep in Cornwall.

The cheeses are wrapped in nettles which gives them a stunning appearance and mild herbaceous flavour.  The cheese is mild and milky, slightly sweet with a hint of lactic tang. The dairy also make a version using wild garlic which is equally stunning to look at and available to order.
