Our Emmental Haute Savoie is a hard, Swiss, unpasteurised cheese.

Emmental is Switzerland's iconic cheese, the one with the holes.  It is made using a particularly complicated process producing massive wheels of the cheese that can weigh as much as 120kg. The cheese has a nutty and sweet mild favour with notes hay and fruit.

It is traditionally served as a breakfast cheese on the Continent and is a fantastic cheese for melting. The holes in Emmental are produced by bacteria during the aging process, the more mature the cheese, the bigger the holes.
